About About MIRAI Architecture Academia

MIRAI Architecture Academia is a family of programs mainly for adults, exploring architecture as a liberal art and a hobby. Through three pillars — the "Academia Architecture Course," where you explore architecture as if at play; "Career Design," where you consider a career in the field of architecture; and "Traveling MIRAI Architecture Academia," where you experience famous architecture firsthand — you deepen your understanding of architecture. Junior and senior high school students on the MIRAI Architecture Juku Light Plan take the same courses.

A course where you explore architecture as if at play. Through dialogue-based architecture appreciation you open up your own sense of values, and through spatial thinking with sketches and models you touch the essence of architecture. From beginners to experienced learners, we guide each person according to their level.

Career Design

Adults (Jr & Sr High also welcome to consult)

A program to think through a career in architecture together. You learn about diverse ways of working — as an architect, a designer, in community development, and more — and design a path and career plan that makes the most of your strengths. We support everyone from junior and senior high school students unsure of their path to working adults considering a career change.

Traveling Architecture Academia

Adults (Jr & Sr High also welcome to consult)

An architectural journey to visit famous buildings, experience their spaces firsthand, and touch the philosophy of their designers. Through on-site sketching and discussion, we aim for a deep understanding of architecture that books alone cannot provide.
